ARTIST STATEMENT
A passion for beauty, excellence, and things spiritual resonates within me. My work embodies the healing power of divine love as it interprets the vision within my spirit. My goal is to give truth expression, speak it clearly and boldly, thus declaring the beauty of the Lord through art, verse, and ministry.
My love of exploration is evident in the diversity of images, styles, and media represented through out the body of work. Whether impressionistic or abstract in style, I select the medium, technique and treatment that best communicate the emotion and message of the specific vision thereby converging color, line and texture to form art that appeals to the eye, the heart and the spirit.
My creative passage is to seek "What if..." without reliance on rule and boundary, and at the end of a good day, offer work that is unusual, exciting, and relevant. I hope to offer the viewer a moment to leave the chaos that may surround them to find refreshment and renewal.
BIOGRAPHY
Deborah Gall was created to live a life of artistic and prophetic expression. Her formal training came at Valparaiso University (Indiana) where she earned a fashion merchandising and business degree.
With a stirred heart, in 1984, Deborah began to explore the use of fabrics and threads as a means of artistic expression. By 1986 she began to professionally sell her art to students and friends. For the next 10 years she personally sold her work to a growing client list and in 1996 she expanded to galleries, interior designers and sales representatives. Internet marketing began in 1998.
Throughout her artistic tenure, Deborah has participated in many local, regional, and national shows and exhibits, including her one woman show "Visions and Vistas" (Oct 2000, Nashville, TN) and "One of a Kind Show" (Dec 2003, Chicago’s Merchandise Mart).
After a lengthy season of abiding at the Lord’s feet for rest, healing and revelation. Deborah and husband Rick were led to give Deborah’s work greater public exposure. In 2004 Abide Studio, a retail studio/gallery was established in their home town of Franklin, Tennessee. The move also gave Deborah the artistic environment, time and space needed to expand her 20 years of creative expression to include mixed media and acrylic painting.
Deborah maintains an inventory of personally inspired pieces in a variety of styles, price points, and media. Her custom-designed and commissioned work for both corporate & private clients continues to grow. Her work hangs in private & public collections across the US & internationally.
Deborah is an experienced designer, writer, teacher, lecturer, and minister in addition to being an anointed artist. She shares her work and her passion with audiences "wherever the Lord leads".
